December 2017 sees the launch of ICE’s Invisible Superheroes Exhibition which highlights the unsung heroes of civil engineering. Based in One Great George Street, the exhibition is part of the celebration of ICE’s bicentenary year and showcases projects which have shaped engineering and touched billions of lives around the globe.
The exhibition will run for a full twelve months to inspire the next generation of budding civil engineers. With a comic book theme, it presents real-life engineering heroes in a format all the family can enjoy, led by ‘Captain Innovation’ - Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Each of the nine Superheroes represent real-life engineering heroes whose careers in civil engineering have played their part in transforming lives and shaping the world around them.
This event in Central London is a first in its kind, with virtual reality tours accessible to all via smart phone or tablet, to bring to life the incredible achievements civil engineers and their impact across the world over the past two hundred years.
CEMAR are proud to sponsor ICE’s latest event; our continued support of ICE stems from a desire to inspire the next generation of engineers and Lego builders to take up a career in construction.
