WightFibre Gigabit Island Project Selects CEMAR

WightFibre have selected CEMAR to assist in contract administration for their Gigabit Island Project, where super-fast broadband will be rolled out on the Isle of Wight by 2021. Work started in summer 2018 and includes laying miles of fibre optic cable, connecting 53,000 homes and offering broadband speeds of up to 1000Mb as standard.

Since 2012 WightFibre have been investing in the Island’s broadband services. The project is expected to bring 140 new jobs to the area, with Gurnard Pines being the first area to experience the benefits of the project.

Using CEMAR will ensure the project can be auditable and managed compliantly. We are looking forward to continuing to serve WightFibre across their NEC Contracts.
