Last week, CEMAR was Lead Sponsor at the NEC Users’ Group Annual Seminar 2018 held at County Hall, on London’s South Bank. The event gave the opportunity for NEC users from around the globe to meet and network while discussing how they use NEC contracts on their projects.
Following opening remarks from Dr David Hancock, the seminar continued to discuss topics around NEC4 such as Project 13 & the role of NEC4 in driving a new model in industry and the introduction of the Alliance Contract. Delegates could choose from a variety of practical workshops hosted by NEC experts including Ian Heaphy, NEC consultant and Ross Hayes, NEC4 drafter.
As the conference closed, we saw our client Sellafield Ltd pick up an award at the closing awards ceremony; they won ‘NEC Contract Innovation through Additional Clauses.’
